Amazfit has hinted that it could be considering a Zepp OS 3.5 update for the GTS 4 smartwatch. The latest version of the operating system was launched earlier this year and has already rolled out to models including the Active, Balance, Cheetah Pro, Cheetah (Round), Cheetah (Square), T-Rex Ultra and Falcon.
The company recently posted about its latest Zepp OS 3.5 release for the Cheetah, T-Rex Ultra and Falcon smartwatches on its Zepp OS account on X. In the comments, one user asked whether a similar update would be available for the GTS 4, to which a team member replied, “What I can say is : Please stay tuned :)”. Amazfit confirmed in the same thread that the Bip 5 would not receive the latest OS. According to the company, this is due to “hardware limitations”, and they recommended users consider upgrading to the Active or Balance.
While this is not an official announcement, the more positive response to the GTS 4 user suggests that Amazfit is at least considering Zepp OS 3.5 for this wearable, though it remains to be seen whether or when it will launch. It is also unclear if the company will update the GTR 4, which is currently running on Zepp OS 3.0.
