A few days ago, we reported on the ZenScreen Duo OLED MQ149CD, a portable monitor solution that centred around a pair of 14-inch OLED displays. However, ASUS has another ZenScreen product up its sleeve that it has designed for completely different use cases. Specifically, it has showcased the ZenScreen Smart MS27UC too, a device that it describes as its 'first Google TV smart monitor'.
In a press release, it also outlined that the ZenScreen Smart MS27UC has 5 W Harman Kardon-tuned speakers, wireless display connectivity and what it describes as 'multi-platform live streaming'. Based on the image below, the latter includes services like Amazon Prime Video and Netflix, as well as Disney+ and YouTube, among other services. Moreover, the monitor has DisplayPort 1.4, HDMI 2.0 and USB Type-C video inputs, the latter of which also supports 90 W Power Delivery.
Furthermore, the monitor integrates Bluetooth 5.0, additional USB ports and dual-band Wi-Fi, along with full Google Play Store access through Android 11 for Android TV. On top of that, the ZenScreen Smart MS27UC has a hidden shelf for storing peripherals. Fundamentally, the ZenScreen Smart MS27UC is an IPS monitor though that measures 27-inches across. While ASUS has confirmed that the panel outputs at 4K (UHD) as well. Other display specifications remain unknown for now though, as does its release date and launch pricing.
