RPCS3 announces huge new development for PS3 emulation and game preservation

One of the coolest things about the RPCS3 project is that the team behind it maintains an active list of the status of the entire PlayStation 3 game library. The RPCS3 team categorizes the games as:
- Playable for PS3 titles that are completely playable on PCs
- Ingame for titles that can be played but with some issues
- Intro for games that only boot to the main menus
- Loadable for games that only display a blank screen upon loading
- Nothing for games that do nothing
The RPCS3 team has now announced on X that developer Yahfz implemented an SPU accuracy fix in Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2. The fix has pushed the game out of the “Loadable” list, and the game now resides in the “Ingame” list. This means that Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2 can now be played on a PC using the PS3 emulator, but you will face issues and/or poor performance.
More importantly, the RPCS3 team has announced that there are currently zero games in the “Loadable” list. This is a major achievement for emulation and game preservation efforts, as it pushes RPCS3 one step closer to playing the entire PS3 library without issues. We feel that that day will soon be upon us. There are only 22 games in the “Intro” list and, aside from a handful of titles like Need for Speed: The Run, most of these games are multiplayer titles and/or PS Move games.
So, almost all single-player PS3 games like Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X. 2 can now be run on a PC or a MacBook using RPCS3. RPCS3 recently got a big graphics update for macOS devices, which has made Macs, including the new MacBook Pro 14 and 16, viable PS3 emulation devices.
