The Redmi 13 4G launched as an affordable phone with entry-level specs and a design similar to the flagship POCO F6. Now, Xiaomi is preparing to launch a new version of the same smartphone with a better SoC that brings 5G connectivity.
While the 4G variant came with Helio G91 Ultra, the Redmi 13 5G is revealed to pack Snapdragon 4 Gen 2. This SoC with eight cores brings 5G connectivity. Besides this, the other core specs are the same as the 4G version. As the Amazon promo page revealed, it has a 108 MP primary camera on the back, which matches what the 4G variant came with.
Another aspect that the promo page confirmed is the large 5,030 mAh battery, which again is the same as the Redmi 13 4G. Even the charging speed is similar, rated at 33W (fast charging power bank CUKTECH 20 curr. $99.99 on Amazon). Xiaomi didn't reveal the screen specs of the phone, but the company did tout the device comes with the segment's largest display on a 5G smartphone.
Moreover, the design appears to be the same as the Redmi 13 4G, and the phone will run Xiaomi HyperOS out of the box. As for the launch date, it's set for July 9 in India, and there's no word on global availability yet.
There is nothing on the price either, but given that the Redmi 13 5G comes with entry-level specs, it should be on the affordable end. Worth noting that the 4G variant launched in the EU at €179, and the Indian launch price was INR 15,999 (about $191).
