Samsung's new affordable smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch FE, seems to be launching sooner than expected. To fill you in, the next Unpacked event is expected to be held next month, on July 10. Earlier rumors hinted that Samsung will be introducing the wearable at that event along with smartphones and other smartwatches.
However, according to an Amazon listing, the upcoming affordable Samsung Galaxy will launch on June 24, which happens to match what a recent leak has revealed. The listing has also revealed the price of the Watch FE, which is €199 (around $214). This will likely translate to $199 in the US, but pricing should go down with promos as the 40 mm Watch 6 can currently be had for $164.45 on Amazon.
The Amazon listing has also shed light on the dimensions. As per the listing, the 40 mm version of the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE will measure 40x10x39 mm and will weigh 26.6 grams. While it didn't reveal any pictures or specs, all the previous reports have hinted at it being a Watch 4 with a new name and updated software.
If that stands true, we will see the Galaxy Watch FE coming with a 1.2-inch AMOLED screen with a 396x396 pixels resolution, 247 mAh battery with 30 hours of rated runtime, 5 ATM water resistant rating with IP68 and MIL-STD-810H, and Exynos W920 SoC.
