Motorola has started to hint at the launch of an apparently unmissable, iconic announcement with the potential to "Flip the Script" of its typical mobile device line-up. The brand's new teasers suggest that the Razr 2024 series of clamshell Android smartphones is indeed on the way.

Motorola is now less than 24 hours away from making the 2024 iteration of its Razr series official in its native China, yet is already teasing a similar event for the US market.

The freshly-released "sneak peek to FLIP for" can only be for a device quite like the Razr or Razr+ of 2023, albeit in a new range of up to 7 probably Pantone-validated colors. It is thought to have some of the series' most premium specs to date, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 platform included.

Furthermore, even the new vanilla Razr is thought to have a generationally-improved cover display: it might be the same one as the outgoing 2023 flagship, but could outdo that of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 nonetheless.

Motorola currently invites sign-ups for email notifications on when the "iconic" #FliptheScript announcement will be made, but has yet to specify a date for the event. Meanwhile, the Razr+ 2023 remains at $649, or a 35% discount on its original price, on Amazon.
