The latest mini PC from Tuxedo promises strong performance thanks to the Intel Core Ultra X7 358H with its integrated Intel Arc B390 iGPU, as well as support for four 4K monitors and two M.2 SSDs. However, the DRAM crisis means that the Nano Pro Gen 15 is significantly more expensive than its predecessor.

The Tuxedo Nano Pro Gen 14 is getting a successor that features only minor design changes but switches from AMD to Intel. The chassis, measuring 11.7 x 11 x 4.9 centimeters and weighing 1 kilogram, houses an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H.

The modern Intel chip has four performance cores with boost clock speeds of up to 4.8 GHz and a total of twelve efficiency cores. The Intel chip also offers the fast Intel Arc B390 iGPU with twelve Xe3 cores. While this hardly makes the Tuxedo Nano Pro Gen 15 a gaming PC, the iGPU certainly offers enough performance to run titles such as Forza Horizon 6, The Outer Worlds 2 or Anno 117: Pax Romana smoothly at 1080p resolution with medium detail settings.

The graphics chip also allows four 4K monitors to be used simultaneously, connected via two USB-C ports and two HDMI ports. Under Linux, the HDMI ports are limited to HDMI 2.0b, meaning 4K at 60 Hz, while Windows 11 supports HDMI 2.1, allowing 4K monitors to run at 120 Hz. One of the two USB-C ports supports Thunderbolt 4 (40 Gbit/s). Tuxedo also includes three USB-A ports, two 2.5 Gbit/s Ethernet ports and a 3.5 mm headphone jack.

Pricing and availability

The Tuxedo Nano Pro Gen 15 Mini-PC is available now from the manufacturer's online store. The base model with an Intel Core Ultra X7 358H, 16 GB of RAM and a 500 GB SSD costs €1,469 ($1,640), excluding import costs and €99 ($110) shipping to the U.S. An upgrade to 32 GB of RAM costs €192 ($214), while a 2 TB SSD costs an extra €200 ($223). If the Mini-PC is to be shipped with Windows 11 instead of Linux, Tuxedo charges a premium of €150 ($167). The ASRock NUC BOX-325, which apparently is based on the same ODM design, is available for $745 on Amazon with a slower Core Ultra 5 325 and without RAM and SSD.
