HP OmniBook: Leaker names laptop for Qualcomm Snapdragon X rebirth as more specs surface

Roughly a week has passed since Roland Quandt shared initial details about HP's first OmniBook in over 20 years. To recap, the leaker published numerous official-looking images, some of which we have embedded below. As a result, it was possible to infer various device details, such as its port offering and its possible reliance on Qualcomm Snapdragon X silicon.

Unfortunately, Quandt did not provide any concrete specifications, let alone an actual device name. Multiple sources have since answered the latter, though. According to a recent 3C certification noticed by the likes of IT Home, HP intends to offer the device as the OmniBook X, which it may sell under the following names in different markets:

• OmniBook X 14-inch Notebook AI PC
• OmniBook X Notebook
• OmniBook X Notebook 14X

Evan Blass affirms this branding too, although he simply refers to the device as the OmniBook X. Regardless, HP's registrations with the 3C suggest that its revitalised OmniBook will arrive with a 14-inch display that supports 65 W charging. On top of that, Blass' leak confirms that the OmniBook X will be available in silver and white colour options. Moreover, both colours will have matching keyboard keys, plus a grey function row and a blue power button. Currently, it is unclear when HP will officially unveil the OmniBook X. However, Blass claims that the device will be available with a Snapdragon X Elite chipset, much like the EliteBook Ultra G1q and Dragonfly 14-fe0xxx that have also leaked online.
