Citizien’s two new titanium Attesa watches with Eco-Drive arrive in more markets

Following the US launch last month, Citizen has officially launched its latest Attesa AT8297-51L and the AT8296-53A watches in the UK. The company’s two new chronograph watches offer solid functionality, a large-sized case, and an attractive dial design. As for price, the AT8297-51L and the AT8296-53A are priced at £995 each. Interested buyers can now purchase radio-controlled Attesa chronographs directly via Citizen UK’s official website.
Both models feature a 42 mm super titanium case, which measures 10.7 mm (0.42 inches) in thickness and weighs 95 grams (3.35 ounces). The AT8297-53A has a bright white dial paired with a blue world-time bezel, two subdials, and a date window at the 3 o’clock position. The AT8297-51L features the navy blue dial adorned with a golden handset, a rose gold-tone world time bezel, and two subdials. These watches are coupled with a titanium bracelet with a fold-over clasp with push buttons.
Interestingly, the latest Attessa chronographs run on Citizen’s H800 Eco-Drive movement, which powers both watches through ambient light and doesn’t need battery replacement. Furthermore, the addition of radio-controlled timekeeping allows these models to automatically receive standard radio waves to sync the time and calendar across America, Europe, and Japan.
Other features include a 1/20 chronograph that measures up to 60 minutes, a perpetual calendar, a 12/24-hour display, power-saving mode, and Citizen’s Perfex Multi 3000 technology. There’s also a power reserve indicator on the dial that shows how much power is left in the cell.
