Casio gives its bold Edifice chronographs a handsome two-tone makeover
Casio has officially unveiled the Edifice EFR-539G-3AV and EFR-539G-2AV chronographs, pairing green and navy dials with gold-toned accents. Both feature 49.5mm cases, 100-meter water resistance and a 1/10-second stopwatch, with pricing and regional availability yet to be confirmed.

After being spotted at a Vietnamese retailer a few days ago, Casio’s new two-tone Edifice chronographs are now officially out.

Understated isn't exactly a word you'd associate with Casio's Edifice lineup. Built around a motorsport-inspired aesthetic, the collection has never shied away from making a statement with busy dials and chunky cases. The new EFR-539G-3AV and EFR-539G-2AV take things up a notch with a bold two-tone design.

Both models share the same design language and chronograph layout but differ in terms of color scheme. The EFR-539G-3AV gets a deep green dial with yellow gold accents, while the EFR-539G-2AV pairs a rich navy blue dial with rose gold detailing. The color combinations extend to the bracelets as well, with silver outer links and yellow/rose gold-colored center links giving both watches a decidedly retro two-tone look.

There's plenty going on up front. The oversized dials feature three recessed chronograph subdials at 12, 6, and 9 o'clock, alongside a date window at 3 o'clock. Applied hour markers, broad hands, and a wide aluminum bezel with prominent minute markings complete the motorsport-inspired aesthetic.

These are big watches, measuring 49.5mm across, with a 54.1mm lug-to-lug length and an 11.7mm thickness, and tipping the scale at 184g. Both feature a screw-lock caseback, 100-meter water resistance, and a mineral crystal on the front.

You also get a 1/10-second stopwatch with elapsed-time, split-time, and first- and second-place measurement modes. Casio quotes accuracy of ±20 seconds per month and up to 2 years of battery life on an SR920SW cell.
