ASUS announces Computex 2024 details as ROG Ally 2024, ROG Zephyrus G16 refresh and first Qualcomm Snapdragon X laptop confirmed by pre-event leak
VideoCardz has followed up on his previous reporting that ASUS was planning to deliver a new ROG Ally during Computex 2024 with a list of devices that the company is planning to introduce at the same event. For reference, VideoCardz previously provided no evidence of its ROG Ally-related assertions. Instead, it claimed to have received said information from unknown media sources that it had 'only started reaching out to...this week'.
This time, it has shared a screenshot from what is likely an ASUS document shared externally. Although the image does not offer any new information about a ROG Ally (curr. $534.99 on Amazon) successor, it confirms its 'ROG Ally 2024' retail name rather than ROG Ally 2. Additionally, it appears that the ROG Ally 2024 will be one of nearly a dozen new ROG-branded products, including the 'ROG Zephyrus G16 AMD Refresh' and various peripherals.
Moreover, ASUS is said to be using Computex 2024 to exhibit the Vivobook S15, its first Qualcomm Snapdragon X-powered laptop. With that being said, it seems that the laptop will actually debut on May 20 during a dedicated event. ASUS will also showcase new AMD and Intel-powered machines, with the ROG Zephyrus G16, TUF Gaming A14 and TUF Gaming A16 for the former and the ProArt P16, ProArt PX13, ProArt PZ13 and Zenbook S16 for the latter. ASUS will host its Computex 2024 event on June 3 at 08:00 UTC.
