In March, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Poco has launched its latest F7 generation of smartphones. Until now, only two models are available in the form of the Poco F7 Pro (available on Amazon) and Poco F7 Ultra. In our comprehensive reviews, these handsets left a good impression thanks to their high performance, decent feature set and reasonable price point.
What's been missing thus far is the Poco F7 base model, but that's about to change. After recent leaks, Xiaomi itself has now indirectly hinted at the upcoming launch of the new smartphone. To be more specific, a teaser website has gone live at the Indian online store Flipkart, as first discovered by GSMArena. While this site doesn't explicitly name the Poco F7, it gives pretty clear indications. For instance, it lists the history of Xiaomi's F-series, which started in 2018 with the Poco F1. Other milestones mentioned include the Poco F3 GT from 2021, the Poco F4 from 2022 and last year's Poco F6, which featured a Snapdragon 8 Series processor and a 1.5K AMOLED display, among other things.
As the URL of the teaser website reveals, the Poco F7 will follow later this month. Although the announcement is only related to the Indian market, it’s fair to assume that Xiaomi’s latest phone will launch globally around the same time. This aligns with the latest leaks, which predicted a June 2025 launch. Technically, the Poco F7 is likely based on the Chinese Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, so there shouldn't be any surprises in terms of specifications. These include the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, an AMOLED display with up to 3,200 nits of brightness, 1.5K resolution, and a 120Hz refresh rate, as well as a main camera based on the Sony LYT-600 sensor.
