Vivo releases new midrange smartphone with massive 10,200 mAh battery

Vivo has expanded its Y600 series portfolio by introducing the new Y600s Pro smartphone in China. The new midrange smartphone joins the recently launched Y600i and the Y600k Turbo in the brand’s roster. The Y600s Pro appears to be a rebranded version of the Y600 Pro, as both smartphones share almost identical specifications. However, Vivo has yet to officially confirm whether the two models are related. To recall, the Y600 Pro debuted earlier this year in China.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset, paired with 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. It runs Android 16-based OriginOS 6 out of the box. Unfortunately, there’s no word on its software support from the brand. What we know is that the 5G-enabled smartphone features a 50 MP rear camera and a 32 MP front snapper.
Vivo has incorporated a massive 10,200 mAh battery into the Y600s Pro, supporting 90 W wired charging (Anker 100 W USB-C charger curr. at $29.99 on Amazon). Interestingly, the device also supports reverse wired charging, meaning users can use the smartphone as a power bank to recharge compatible devices. Furthermore, it boasts a 6.83-inch AMOLED panel with 2800 x 1260 pixel resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Other features include an in-display fingerprint sensor, dual stereo speakers, IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, NFC, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, an infrared remote, and up to 8 GB of dynamic RAM. Available in black, gold, purple, and blue colorways, the Vivo Y600s Pro starts at CNY 2,699 (~$402) for the base 8 GB + 256 GB variant, while the top-end 8 GB + 512 GB model is priced at CNY 2,999 (~$447).
