Timex’s new classic analog watch with backlight and launch discount arrives in more markets

Timex has added the Easy Reader TW2V40000UJ to its range of traditional analog watches. The classic quartz watch joins the newly announced field-watch-style TW2Y12800JQ analog watch in the brand’s roaster. The watch is now available through Timex India’s store, priced at ₹9,995 (~$103). As a part of the launch offer, the company is offering a 40% discount for a limited time, bringing the price down from ₹9,995 to just ₹5,495 ($57).
Speaking of design, the timepiece ships with a 38 mm round silver-tome brass case with a polished finish. You get a white dial with larger Arabic numerals, black hour hands, and a date window integrated at the 3 o’clock position. The minimalist dial and contrasting hour markers give the watch a distinctly classic, vintage-inspired appearance.
Dimension-wise, it measures 9 mm (0.35 inches) in thickness and weighs around 50 grams (1.76 ounces). The mineral crystal protects the dial, while the watch carries a 30 m (3 bar) water resistance rating, making it suitable for everyday splashes and light rain but not water sports activities such as swimming and snorkeling. Moreover, the US watchmaker has incorporated a quartz movement into the TW2V40000UJ for timekeeping.
The watch is equipped with an Indiglo backlight, which further improves visibility in low-light conditions. A stainless steel expansion bracelet with a silver-tone finish complements the brass case and gives the watch a more traditional dress-watch character. The bracelet measures 20 mm (0.79 inches) wide and is designed for wrists measuring 150-205 mm.
