After several wireless earbuds, Nothing sub-brand CMF is venturing into the fiercely competitive speaker market. With a colorful milk carton design, 18 hours of battery life and a waterproof housing at prices starting at $59, the CMF Speaker S & M promise strong value for money.

The brand-new CMF Speaker S & M look like colorful milk cartons at first glance. This design is not just intended to look stylish; with an integrated carrying handle and a volume dial on top, the housing is also functional. The housing is IP68-certified and therefore fully waterproof.

Both speakers are said to offer 18 hours of battery life. The smaller CMF Speaker S is equipped with a full-range driver measuring 45 millimeters in diameter, paired with a 10-watt amplifier, and can reproduce frequencies from 70 Hz to 20 kHz. In the larger CMF Speaker M, Nothing combines a 25-watt woofer with a 10-watt tweeter, allowing it to reproduce deeper bass down to 60 Hz. The sound can be adjusted to personal preferences using an equalizer with four presets in the accompanying Nothing X smartphone app.
 


Not only is it possible to combine two identical speakers into a stereo pair, but Bluetooth Auracast also allows multiple compatible speakers from different manufacturers to be connected for party mode. The speakers support Bluetooth 6.0 along with Bluetooth Multipoint, allowing music to be streamed from two sources simultaneously. Music can also be played over a wired USB-C connection when particularly low latency is a priority.

Pricing and availability

The Nothing CMF Speaker S & M are already available on Amazon. The smaller speaker costs $59, while the larger model is priced at $109.
