myFirst CareSip water bottle gives parents remote control over their child's drinks

The myFirst CareSip smart water bottle delivers peace of mind to parents by providing 24/7 remote control and monitoring of their child's daily hydration habits. The CareSip can only be accessed by children who have their fingerprints registered by their parents to help prevent drink theft and the spread of diseases, such as meningitis.
The 530 mL (18 oz.) CareSip smart water bottle is the first of its kind with a fingerprint security lock to secure access to its lid. The sensor is powered by a rechargeable battery with up to a six-week runtime, according to the company. The battery can be recharged in approximately 1.5 hours using a USB-C power source.

Only parents with the paired app can access the registered fingerprint list. Access to drinks is only granted to authorized users, helping eliminate the risk of drink cross-contamination and theft by other children when the bottle is unattended. Diseases such as bacterial meningitis can be spread by shared saliva, with death rates in the infected children as high as 1 in 5.
Another benefit of the smart bottle is limiting access to sugary drinks, which can lead to obesity when consumed in excessive amounts. Parents can monitor every time the bottle is used for a drink from their smartphones.
No matter the drink, the built-in Smart Temperature Monitor automatically prevents unlocking of the CareSip bottle until the contents have cooled to a safe temperature to prevent scalding of the mouth. A LED near the fingerprint reader indicates when the drink is too hot.
The 360 g (12.7 oz.) CareSip is made with a 316L stainless steel inner liner, food-grade silicone seals, and is 100% BPA-free. The fingerprint reader and bottle are IPX6-rated waterproof. The bottle is coming soon according to the company, with no definitive release date or price noted.
