HoYoverse brought over 50 Miliastra Wonderland creators together at Gamescom 2026. Genshin Impact's UGC module now hosts 90,000+ Craftspeople plus 120,000+ stages.

HoYoverse hosted an invite-only meetup in Cologne, Germany, for more than 50 of the most active Genshin Impact Miliastra Wonderland creators during Gamescom 2026. The Miliastra Wonderland Creator Face to Face took place on August 30, 2026, and HoYoverse has now released highlights and creator comments from the event.

What Miliastra Wonderland is

Miliastra Wonderland is the user-generated content module built into Genshin Impact. It launched in October 2025 and needs no separate download. Players, known as Craftspeople, use the in-game editor to design and publish custom stages for others to play. HoYoverse says the platform now has over 90,000 Craftspeople and more than 120,000 stages.

A wide range of stages

Chryzel, creator of the action-adventure stage Legend of Manekina, also runs a YouTube channel that teaches others to build in the editor. "I would learn something, make a guide about it, and then often learn even more from the questions and feedback I got," Chryzel said.

DODO, creator of the social deduction party game IMPOSTOR, had planned to stick with party games. The new Shooter mode changed that. "Now that I've seen the Shooter mode, I'm so excited to build a good shooter game in Miliastra Wonderland," DODO said.

Some creators are using the editor as a filmmaking tool. Genshin Impact and collaborator Filo built the 3-in-1 Film Set, Sky Room, and Movie Explosions Set, which include green screens, dynamic spotlights, and controlled explosion sequences. Classic Mode does not support Camera Mode, so Filo built a wall spawner that uses walls to hide the character from the camera.

Creator yummie, behind Teyvat Sports Day and the upcoming tower defense stage A Mazing TD recreated Genshin Impact's ice-bridging mechanic from scratch after finding that water surfaces cannot be frozen in the editor. They then offered the system to other creators through the platform's Resource Center. Kosmos, meanwhile, built Lightkeeper, a slow-burn cosmic horror stage set on an island with a lighthouse.

A low barrier to entry

Creators repeatedly pointed to the editor's accessibility. DODO began making games at 14 and later burned out after getting stuck on bugs. Miliastra Wonderland, DODO said, made it easy enough to finish and publish something.

Node Graphs, the visual scripting system at the center of the editor, were singled out as the biggest help for newcomers. HoYoverse also provides video tutorials through the Craftspeople Academy, along with a general guide. "It doesn't matter if you've never programmed in your life," DODO said. Chryzel advised new creators to start small and focus on finishing projects.

Community support

Several creators named the Miliastra Wonderland Creator Front Discord server as a key resource for technical help and motivation. Aeszarck, who co-created the bullet hell stage 100 Rounds MW with Sonarenity, said that having a collaborator makes it harder to give up on a long project. IslaWoof, creator of A Fantasy In Sync and Ronova's Deathrun, said support from the community and HoYoverse made the process feel less solitary.

Miliastra Wonderland is free to access inside Genshin Impact.
