Japanese brand launches compact mini PC with Ryzen AI 7 and fingerprint reader

Japanese brand iiyama has begun selling the Style-I1MA-RA45-EZDX mini PC. The compact mini PC can be used for everyday computing, office work and digital signage, and somewhat more taxing tasks as well.
The mini PC runs on AMD's Ryzen AI 7 450, an eight-core, 16-thread processor based on the Zen 5 architecture. It reaches clock speeds of up to 5.1 GHz and supports DDR5 memory. A dedicated NPU handles AI processing, while the integrated Radeon 860M GPU takes care of graphics.
Gigabyte's Brix mini PC uses the same Ryzen AI 7 450 processor and supports an external GPU via USB4. The Asus ExpertCenter PN55 offers up to 96 GB of RAM. iiyama takes a different approach, pairing the processor with a fingerprint reader built into the power button and two Ethernet ports, one supporting 2.5GbE and the other 1GbE speeds.
The standard configuration includes 8 GB of DDR5 RAM as a single module, a 500 GB NVMe M.2 SSD and Windows 11 Home. Buyers can select higher memory and storage capacities through the build-to-order service.
The mini PC offers the following connectivity options:
- Front: Two USB 3.1 Type-A ports, one USB4 Type-C port with DisplayPort output, a 3.5 mm audio jack and an SD card reader.
- Rear: Two USB 2.0 Type-A ports, one USB4 Type-C port with DisplayPort output, HDMI, DisplayPort and two Ethernet ports.
- Wireless: Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.
The mini PC measures 5.51 × 5.11 × 1.73 inches (139.9 × 129.9 × 43.9 mm) and supports optional VESA mounting. The mounting kit costs ¥1,900 (approximately $12).
Priced at ¥169,800 (approximately $1,075), including tax, the iiyama Style-I1MA-RA45-EZDX is currently available in Japan only. The company has not announced international availability.
