iQOO officially announces compact gaming tablet with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5

iQOO officially launched its Pad Ultra tablet in China last month, and the company has now officially announced its compact Pad Pro gaming tablet.
The Pad Pro is positioned below the iQOO Pad Ultra in the company's lineup. Both tablets use 8.8-inch displays, a size also found on compact gaming tablets such as Lenovo's Legion Tab Gen 5, which we have reviewed.
The iQOO Pad Pro is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor and a dedicated Q3 gaming chip.
The Pad Ultra uses a Q4 gaming chip and went on sale in China on October 5. Its 12GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration is priced at 6,499 yuan (around $971), with a first-sale discount bringing the price to 5,999 yuan (around $896). Eligible buyers can get it for 5,499 yuan (around $821) after the applicable subsidy.
iQOO has not yet shared the Pad Pro's complete specifications, including its display resolution, refresh rate, battery capacity and memory configurations.
iQOO is also offering a special benefits package worth up to 2,718 yuan (around $406), but eligible buyers can get it for just 1 yuan (around $0.15). It includes a folding stand, an extra year of warranty and two years of accidental damage protection.
Pre-order are now open in China, but iQOO has not announced the tablet's retail price or general sale date. The company has also yet to confirm availability outside China.
