Dell releases new 4K monitor with 120 Hz IPS Black display and ambient light sensor

Dell has taken the wraps of the new UltraSharp U3226QER monitor in China. The company’s new monitor is designed for video editors, graphic designers, and other color-critical tasks who need an accurate display for content production. The monitor features a 31.5-inch panel with a 4K resolution (3840 x 2160 pixels), a 16:9 aspect ratio, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 600 nits.
Dell’s new UltraSharp productivity-focused monitor is equipped with IPS Black technology that delivers a 3000:1 contrast ratio and deeper blacks. Color gamut support includes 99% DCI-P3, 100% sRGB, and BT.709 with VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification. Since Dell is marketing the monitor for creative professionals, like graphic designers and video editors, the UltraSharp U3226QER comes pre-calibrated with DeltaE below 1.5.
Furthermore, users can also tweak color settings thanks to Dell Color Management. Dell offers an assortment of connectivity options with the UltraSharp U3226QER, including one HDMI 2.1, two DisplayPort 1.4, four 10 Gbps USB-A 3.2 ports, and two Thunderbolt 4 ports, one of which can allow 140 W of power delivery. Additionally, there’s a retractable hub on the bottom of the monitor, which houses one USB-A and two USB-C ports.
Other features include daisy-chaining, KVM switching, TUV Rheinland Eye Comfort certification, a 5 ms response time (in fast mode), and a low-reflectance coating to reduce glare. Moreover, the monitor is equipped with an ambient light sensor that automatically adapts its color temperature and brightness to the surrounding light conditions. Like the Dell UltraSharp U3223QE, the U3226QER has an adjustable stand that allows for tilt, swivel, and pivot movements.
Available in the silver colorway, the Dell UltraSharp U3226QER monitor is priced at CNY 5,199 (~$778). It is now available for purchase in China via JD.com.
