Asus has confirmed pricing details for its first 720 Hz OLED gaming monitor. Not only that, but the release date for the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace has been revealed, too. Asus' first 720 Hz OLED gaming monitor offers 1,700 nits peak brightness across its Tandem OLED panel, too.

Asus has shared more details about its upcoming ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace gaming monitor. First showcased in August, the 24.5-inch gaming monitor reached Taiwan earlier this month for TWD 37,800 (~$1,166). Now, the company has listed the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace in the UK with a release date shared by one prominent retailer.

To recap, the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace is the first OLED gaming monitor with a 720 Hz refresh rate. As a result, the PG259QWS Ace surpasses existing 540 Hz OLED options in this regard, including the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQWP (curr. $1,099 on Amazon). It is worth noting that Asus' new 24-inch monitor drops to a 1,920 x 1,080-pixel resolution favoured by Esports gamers.

Setting that aside, the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace boasts 0.02 ms GtG response times aided by AMD FreeSync Premium and Nvidia G-Sync variable refresh rate (VRR) technologies. Moreover, the monitor is said to peak at 390 nits when viewing SDR content and 1,700 nits when HDR content is active. On top of that, Asus claims 99.5% DCI-P3 colour space coverage and Delta E <2 calibration across the monitor's 10-bit panel.

Asus has listed the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace on its UK website for £999 (~$1,330), including taxes. Meanwhile, Scan UK reports that the new monitor is due to arrive on November 25. Furthermore, Asus has reiterated that the ROG Swift OLED PG259QWS Ace will reach the US for $1,099. Previously, the company claimed to be targeting a €1,149 MSRP in the Eurozone, too.
