Amazon's new Kindles get a Bluetooth page turner remote and a case with page turn buttons

Seeing as rivals Kobo and Boox have launched Bluetooth page turners for the e-readers, Amazon has followed suit with its own Bluetooth remote. The accessory is one among a handful it released alongside its new Kindle e-readers.

Amazon has dubbed its Bluetooth page turner the Kindle Click and it looks more like the Kobo Remote than the retro typewriter-inspired Boox Tappy. The Kindle Click is white with two large gray round buttons and two pill-shaped buttons on the right side.

It connects via Bluetooth to a supported Kindle, which includes all models released from 2024 till date. Amazon even specifically adds a banner to the product page that says that the Kindle Click isn't compatible with any model released before 2024 including the Kindle (2022) and the Kindle Paperwhite (11th Generation).

Users will be able to choose which of the round buttons is for turning a page back or forward. However, the side buttons are specifically for adjusting the screen's brightness. Pressing both buttons together puts the Kindle in sleep mode.

Unlike the Kobo Remote which uses a single AAA battery, the Kindle Click has a rechargeable battery that provides weeks of use on a single charge. It charges via USB-C but doesn't come with a cable or charger in the box. However, you do get a woven wrist lanyard.

The Kindle Click is available to pre-order now for $34.99 and will be released alongside the new Kindles on October 28.

In addition to the remote, Amazon has also released a Kindle case with page turn buttons for the 2026 generations of the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition and Kindle Colorsoft Signature Edition. Officially known as the Kindle Page Turn Cover with Physical Page-Turn Buttons, it connects via magnets to the supported Kindles and requires no pairing or charging.

Once attached, the buttons begin to work, and owners can choose which buttons flip the page forward or backward within the device'. Priced at $79.99 and available to pre-order now, the Kindle Page Turn Cover has a faux-leather finish and is rated IPX8 for water resistance. It is available in Graphite, Seaglass Green, and Fig.

Other accessories announced include a $59.99 Charging Dock for the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition and Kindle Colosoft Signature Edition. The dock keeps the Kindles charged while standing upright. There are also a variety of Kindle Covers such as a $99.99 Kindle Sling Bag, a $39.99 Knit Fabric Case for the Kindle (2026), and a $44.99 Knit Fabric Case for the Paperwhite (2026) and Colorsoft (2026).

The sling bag and cases will be released on October 28, but the charging dock doesn't have a release date yet.
