Tipster Digital Chat Station claims the Redmi Turbo 6 Max will use MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500s and a battery above 10,000mAh, up from the 9,000mAh cell in the Turbo 5 Max. Earlier leaks point to a flat 7-inch 2K OLED panel, IP68 and IP69 protection and a January launch.

The Redmi Turbo 6 Max could ship with a battery larger than 10,000mAh and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500s chipset, according to Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station. The leaker did not name the phone, but the details are believed to refer to the Max model in Redmi’s upcoming Turbo 6 series.

The leaker said the 3nm Dimensity 9600M is reserved for a flagship mid-sized phone, which suggests the Turbo 6 Max will use the 9500s instead. The tipster also described the phone’s screen as very large and its design as relatively simple. Earlier leaks pointed to a flat 7-inch OLED panel with 2K resolution. Digital Chat Station did not confirm the exact size when asked whether the display measures 6.9 inches or close to 7 inches.

Digital Chat Station says the next Turbo Max will run on the Dimensity 9500s, the same 3nm chip found in the Turbo 5 Max.

Previous reports have also claimed the phone will feature a minimalist rear design with two horizontally arranged cameras, a metal middle frame, IP68 and IP69 dust and water resistance, and an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. No details on camera sensors, charging speeds, or memory configurations have surfaced.

The rumored specifications would build on the Redmi Turbo 5 Max, which launched in China in January 2026. That phone already runs on the Dimensity 9500s and pairs it with a 9,000mAh battery, 100W wired charging, and a 6.83-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, alongside a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization and an 8MP ultrawide. If the leak proves accurate, the Turbo 6 Max would carry over the same chipset while adding at least 1,000mAh of battery capacity and a larger screen. The Turbo 5 Max started at ¥2,499 (about $360) for the 12GB and 256GB version.

MediaTek announced the Dimensity 9500s in January 2026. Built on a 3nm process, the chip pairs a Cortex-X925 core clocked at 3.73GHz with three Cortex-X4 cores and four Cortex-A720 cores, alongside an Immortalis-G925 GPU. The Redmi Turbo 6 Max could be launched in January, but the company has not confirmed the device or any of its specifications.
