Xiaomi: Smart washer-dryer with automatic detergent dosing rolls out to additional markets

While Xiaomi has steadily built out its home appliance portfolio, its large domestic appliances are now becoming available across more European countries, including Spain and Germany. Specifically, the Mijia Washer Dryer Pro 10kg is listed in Xiaomi's official online store for €649, with delivery estimated within 12 days.

As the product name implies, the machine features a 10 kg capacity—a figure that, as usual, applies exclusively to washing. The drying capacity maxes out at 7 kg, meaning larger loads will need to be partially unloaded before starting the drying phase. The unit (model number WD100MJA12EU) achieves an energy efficiency rating of Class A for washing, but drops to Class D when using the combined wash-and-dry function. Assuming an average electricity price of €0.30 per kWh, a complete drying cycle can easily add over one euro to operating costs.

Convenience features include automatic dosing for both liquid detergent and fabric softener, eliminating manual measurement. Control is handled via an integrated touch interface or through the Xiaomi Home app, where users can customize washing and drying programs. Available cycles include a 12-minute quick wash designed for lightly soiled garments, alongside steam modes intended to sanitize and refresh fabrics. Xiaomi backs the integrated direct-drive motor with a 12-year warranty.
