Xiaomi has added a product listing for the Smart Filtered Water Dispenser Pro on its global website. The model appears identical to a smart home product the brand launched in China some time ago. Features include app-based controls, fast water heating and NFC cup identification.

The Xiaomi Smart Filtered Water Dispenser Pro has appeared on the brand’s global website, suggesting it will soon arrive in countries worldwide. The smart home device launched in China in 2022 under the name Xiaomi Mijia Desktop Drinking Machine Smart Edition.

The Smart Filtered Water Dispenser Pro offers six-stage RO filtration to remove heavy metals and bacteria. There is a 4.4L water tank featuring UV sterilization and a separate 1.8L wastewater compartment. The water temperature can be altered in 1°C (~1.8 °F) steps between 40°C to 95°C, with the device heating water in seconds, or you can choose from pre-set modes like Room Temperature, Coffee and Boiling Water. You can control the machine via a TFT display or the Mi Home/Xiaomi Home app. Alternatively, you can use NFC tags to allow the machine to identify cups and pour a drink at your chosen temperature and volume; one tag is included with the product.

Other features include two-tone lighting when dispensing, which could be helpful at night, and a concealed handle to make it easier to move the device. According to Xiaomi, the filter is quick to replace, with a yearly refresh recommended, and the drip tray can be removed for cleaning. Where and when the Xiaomi Smart Filtered Water Dispenser Pro will launch and at what price remains unclear. As an indication of pricing, the model launched with a retail price of 1,999 yuan (~$275).
