MagyarXiaomi Redmi K60 Ultra, Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro and Xiaomi 14 Ultra all start receiving unofficial HyperOS 1.5 update with dozens of changes and improvements
The likes of Gizmochina and SmartDroid have noticed the start of a major new HyperOS rollout. Officially, Xiaomi does not describe the update as such. Nonetheless, the volume of changes, Xiaomi's propensity to offer '.5' updates and the likely arrival of HyperOS 2 alongside the Xiaomi 15 series this autumn have led Gizmochina to coin the phrase 'HyperOS 1.5' instead of the updates' long build numbers.
As the screenshot below emphasises, Xiaomi has bundled dozens of changes within one firmware package. Ultimately, the update mostly focuses on optimising existing features, such as the number of pre-loaded apps to improve app launching speeds. Additionally, Xiaomi claims to have refined memory usage, albeit without providing any specifics in this regard.
Moreover, the new update packages ship with various bug fixes, including a few dedicated to improving HyperOS' status and notification bar behaviours. So far, the update has started reaching the Redmi K60 Ultra,as well as the Xiaomi 14, Xiaomi 14 Pro and Xiaomi 14 Ultra (curr. $1,145 on Amazon). However, Xiaomi has futher limited the updates' distribution to China, where the company often delivers new features and system updates first.
