The first retailer has listed Xiaomi's Redmi 12 4G (curr. $159.99 on Amazon) successor online, shortly after early leaks about the same device emerged. While Xiaomi has not officially presented the Redmi 13 4G yet, Powerplanet has confirmed all key specifications, European launch pricing and its design. In short, the Redmi 13 4G makes minimal design changes from the Redmi 12.
With that being said, the newer model drops from three to two rear-facing cameras, with Xiaomi removing the Redmi 12 4G's ultra-wide-angle camera entirely. Conversely, Xiaomi has upgraded the primary camera from 50 MP to 108 MP, which it complements with a 2 MP rear-facing depth sensor. Likewise, the Redmi 13 4G boasts a 13 MP front-facing camera, up from 8 MP in its predecessor.
Moreover, Xiaomi has swapped out the MediaTek Helio G88 from the newer Helio G91 Ultra. Performance differences between the two chips should be minimal though, which tallies with the continued reliance on a 6.79-inch IPS panel that outputs at 1080p, 550 nits and 90 Hz. Similarly, the battery capacity has grown by 30 mAh between generations to 5,030 mAh, although this can now be charged at up to 33 W, an improvement from 18 W. Based on Powerplanet's product listings, the Redmi 13 4G should start at the following prices in the Eurozone with discounts of around €20 to €30 at launch.
- 6 GB RAM/128 GB storage - €199.99
- 8 GB RAM/256 GB storage - €229.99
