Xiaomi 18 Pro (Max) leaks at EU retailer with launch discount, prices and new color
After a reliable source already revealed details about the European prices of the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max a few days ago, Italian online store Epto now lists three variants of the flagship smartphones, each in White, Black and Velvet Red. The latter color is new, as the smartphones are offered in Pink in China instead. According to Epto, the devices will be available at launch with a 10 percent discount, resulting in the following prices:
- Xiaomi 18 Pro 256 GB: €1,399 (instead of €1,549)
- Xiaomi 18 Pro 512 GB: €1,591 (instead of €1,761)
- Xiaomi 18 Pro Max 512 GB: €1,783 (instead of €1,974)
These somewhat uneven prices are not unusual for early retailer listings, as prices are often only adjusted at launch to account for each country's VAT and rounded accordingly. The online store also confirms what rumors had already suggested: Xiaomi is offering the flagship smartphones in Europe with smaller batteries.
The 6.4-inch Xiaomi 18 Pro is expected to come with "only" a 6,000 mAh battery in Europe, which can be charged at up to 90 watts, while the larger 6.9-inch Xiaomi 18 Pro Max is expected to offer a 7,050 mAh battery with 100-watt fast charging instead. Both smartphones feature an AMOLED panel with Privacy Display, a 120 Hz refresh rate and an HDR peak brightness of 4,000 nits, as well as a secondary display on the back.
There are also differences in the processor: while the Xiaomi 18 Pro uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, the top model relies on the even faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6. Both smartphones have a 200 MP f/1.7 main camera with a 1/1.28-inch sensor, a 200 MP periscope telephoto camera with a 1/1.56-inch sensor and 3.2x zoom, a 50 MP f/2.4 ultra-wide-angle camera and a 50 MP f/2.2 selfie camera.
