Xbox Game Pass comes to T-Mobile but there’s a catch

Xbox and T-Mobile have teamed up to offer Game Pass subscriptions as part of the mobile plan in the US. The carrier is calling it a “first-of-its-kind” approach that allows customers more choice and flexibility to pick and choose what benefits they get.

Both Xbox and T-Mobile have shared the announcement on their websites. The program, which will be available in November, is called T-Mix, and it comes in three tiers – Standard, More, and Loaded. This program adds what T-Mobile is calling ‘Picks,’ which allows customers to choose from a selection of subscription services that would best suit their needs.

The options include Apple TV, DashPass, Hulu, Netflix, Pandora, SiriusXM, Apple Music, ESPN Unlimited, Delta SkyMiles, Google Gemini, Paramount+, and YouTube Premium. A key addition here is Xbox Game Pass. Those who are new to T-Mobile or those who are already using a different plan can switch to T-Mix plans and choose which benefits work best for them.

The Standard T-Mix plan starts at $55 per month and includes one Pick. T-Mix More starts at $75 per month and includes two Picks. Lastly, T-Mix Loaded starts at $95 per month and includes three Picks. You can add up to four lines to each plan, with the price increasing accordingly. What’s interesting is that Game Pass is only available in the two- and three-Pick packs. This means a single-line account will have to get the More or the Loaded plans to get access to Game Pass. Game Pass Premium requires two Picks while Game Pass Ultimate requires three Picks. Here’s everything that’s included in the plans:

T-Mobile is also allowing customers to switch up their Picks up to four times a year without having to change their monthly plan.
