Until June 18, Xbox Game Pass subscribers can look forward to six new additions, with RPG, shooter and horror fans in particular getting their money's worth.

After Microsoft added two full-price titles and several new releases to the Game Pass in the second half of May, things will continue in the same vein in June. With the tactical RPG Octopath Traveler II and the survival horror game The Callisto Protocol, subscribers will soon have access to two more games that would normally cost around $60.

Horror-survival fans looking for a refreshing experience might be interested in Still Wakes the Deep, which will be available in Game Pass right at launch. Shooter fans are also in for a treat in June: Isonzo is a tactical FPS shooter that aims to provide a historically accurate wartime experience on the Italian front of the First World War.

Octopath Traveler - June 6 (PC, console and cloud)

Octopath Traveler is a role-playing game featuring eight different protagonists with individual stories and abilities. These include, for example, the former knight Olberic Eisenberg, the huntress H'aanit and the merchant Tressa Colzione. Players can choose any character and experience their story in any order. The gameplay is based on the boost system, which relies on turn-based battles and gives players the opportunity to strengthen the characters' actions with so-called boost points. Each character has unique abilities and path actions that can be used both in battle and in the world. Graphically, Octopath Traveler looks like a mixture of 2D pixel art with modern 3D environments, which makes for a nostalgic yet fresh aesthetic.

Octopath Traveler II - June 6 (PC, Xbox Series X|S and Cloud)

Octopath Traveler II retains the basic gameplay of its predecessor, but introduces new characters and mechanics. Players can look forward to eight new protagonists with individual stories and unique abilities - including the dancer Agnea Bristarni, the warrior prince Hikari Ku and the apothecary Castti Florenz. The tried-and-tested turn-based combat system is enhanced by the Latent Power system, which activates special abilities as soon as a bar is full. A dynamic day-night cycle changes the game world by allowing different NPCs to appear and granting more experience points for opponents at night. The guild system has also been introduced, allowing players to acquire additional class licenses by completing quests.

Depersonalization - June 12 (PC)

Depersonalization is a roguelike role-playing game with a retro look that is heavily inspired by Lovecraft's cosmic horror. Players create characters and move through several different worlds, which are influenced by decisions and character attributes. The game eschews a traditional level-up system in favor of turn-based combat, exploration and tactical puzzles. True to its name, the game is set in a surreal world and offers a dark story that blurs the boundaries between reality and delusion.

Isonzo - June 13 (PC, console and cloud)

Isonzo is a realistic tactical multiplayer first-person shooter set on the Italian front of the First World War. Players take part in 48-player matches and can choose from different classes such as officer, sniper and engineer. The game is designed to offer an authentic war experience with a focus on historical accuracy. The historical battles, including the Sixth Battle of the Isonzo and the punitive expedition of 1916 (South Tyrol Offensive), have been recreated in great detail. The Ascent mode offers additional climbing and mountain combat mechanics.

The Callisto Protocol - June 13 (PC, console and cloud)

The Callisto Protocol is a survival horror game set in the year 2320 on Jupiter's moon Callisto. Players take on the role of Jacob Lee, an inmate of the Black Iron Prison, who must fight for survival against mutated creatures called Biophage while uncovering the secrets of the United Jupiter Company. Players use melee and ranged weapons as well as a gravity tool to control and creatively defeat enemies. To provide an intense and terrifying gaming experience, the game places great emphasis on atmosphere and resource management. The Callisto Protocol was developed by Glen Schofield - a co-creator of Dead Space.

Still Wakes the Deep - June 18 (PC, Xbox Series X|S and Cloud)

Still Wakes the Deep is a first-person horror game set in 1975 on the Beira D oil rig off the coast of Scotland. After a catastrophic explosion, a menacing presence is unleashed, the nature of which is still a mystery at the beginning of the game. Players take on the role of Caz McLeary, an electrician trying to rescue survivors and escape from the oil rig. What might initially be unfamiliar to fans of survival horror games is that players cannot fight in Still Wakes the Deep, but can only flee or hide. The developers have conducted interviews with former oil platform workers and carried out historical research in order to make the game environment as authentic as possible.
