WhatsApp finally releases the video message reply feature for beta users

The latest WhatsApp beta version (2.24.14.5) comes with a new shortcut allowing for quick and easy replies to video messages. This update is certainly going to be a big step toward streamlining video communication within the app and making it more natural.

This new shortcut looks like a small button that will appear next to video messages in chats. Tapping on this button opens the video recorder immediately to capture and send video replies, thus saving the user the need to go through multiple menu items or do any special gestures.

The quick reply to a video shortcut comes hot on the heels of other recent enhancements like video message forwarding and improving the video quality of video messages. WhatsApp is doing what it can to become the default platform for both text and video messaging.

This feature is currently available to beta testers only, but it is expected to become available for all users pretty soon.
