Rollme is a manufacturer of generally very affordable smartwatches, having very recently introduced the Hero A, a smartwatch that is well equipped on paper and promises many functions. However, how well these work in practice cannot be judged without testing.
The Rollme Hero A has its own 4G LTE connectivity on board. A SIM card can be inserted in a slot on the side, allowing the smartwatch to connect to the mobile network independently. In addition to Bluetooth, WiFi is also available, which is quite rare for a wearable.
The front of the Hero A features a 2.13-inch display with a resolution of 410 x 502 and, according to Rollme, a peak brightness of 600 nits. Protected by Panda Glass, the upper edge of the display houses a 2 MP HD camera for photos, video calls and more, which is also not a given in a smartwatch.

There is also space in the robust and IP67 waterproof housing for a generously sized 1,000 mAh battery. The manufacturer promises up to 15 days of battery life, but this seems unrealistic due to the features and Android operating system. The advantage of Android, on the other hand, is that numerous apps can be installed on the 16 GB of storage space.
Other advertised features of the Rollme Hero A include the usual measurement of heart rate and blood oxygen level (SpO2), a manageable number of five sports modes, GPS for positioning and tracking as well as various functions such as a flashlight, alarm clock, calendar, browser and more.
The Rollme Hero A is available directly from the manufacturer for $79.99. According to Rollme, this is only the launch price; later it will cost around $140. Shipping costs and any applicable taxes are added when ordering. If you redeem the voucher code rollmeheroa when ordering, you save a further $10.
