Ultra-thin Oppo Watch 5 spotted ahead of launch

With models like the Oppo Watch X3, Oppo has primarily focused on smartwatches with round displays over the past few years. However, the Oppo Watch 4 Pro from 2023 is finally getting a successor, as Oppo China is already accepting reservations for the Oppo Watch 5.
The smartwatch is set to be "available soon," but Oppo has yet to provide any further details about its price, exact launch date or specifications. In its own online store, the manufacturer only shows a silhouette of the watch, which apparently features a rectangular display and a digital crown on the right-hand side.
A first photo of the watch has already surfaced online, as Chinese singer Song Yuqi has been spotted wearing a smartwatch believed to be the brand-new Oppo Watch 5. Accordingly, at least one variant of the smartwatch features a silver metal case and a purple sports band. According to Rock Leaks, the Oppo Watch 5 is extremely thin – at just 9.2 millimeters thick, the watch would be half a millimeter thinner than the Apple Watch Series 12.
Oppo is reportedly fitting a particularly bright AMOLED display with slim bezels into an aluminum case that weighs just 27 grams. The watch is said to be marketed specifically to women, offering a range of fitness and health features tailored to this target audience. Some rumors point to a price of around ¥1,000 ($150).
