Timex adds three new crystal-studded watches to its popular Cavatina collection

Timex has expanded its Cavatina collection with three new watches featuring crystal-studded bezels and stainless-steel bracelets. The latest additions retain the collection’s signature petite oval cases while introducing more elaborate finishes. All three models are now listed on the company’s UK website. 

The collection comprises of three references: the TW2Y90000, TW2Y90100 and TW2Y90200. The first features an entirely silver-tone finish, pairing a silver sunray dial with a matching bracelet. Meanwhile, the TW2Y90100 adopts a gold-tone case, champagne dial and matching gold bracelet. The TW2Y90200 combines a gold-tone case with a silver dial and two-tone bracelet.

All three feature polished oval cases measuring just 19 mm across, with 36 decorative crystals surrounding their bezels. The watches also retain the collection’s traditional Roman numeral hour markers and minimalist two-hand displays. A gently domed mineral crystal protects the dial, while the stainless-steel bracelets feature self-adjustable links that can be removed without tools.

Despite their jewellery-like appearance, the watches retain fairly conventional specifications. Each measures 8 mm thick, with a 30 mm lug-to-lug distance and a weight of approximately 39 g. The cases are manufactured from low-lead brass rather than stainless steel, while a battery-powered quartz movement using an SR626SW cell handles timekeeping. Water resistance is rated at 30 metres, making them suitable for occasional splashes rather than swimming.

For context, Timex already offers several Cavatina watches with similarly sized oval cases, although the older bracelet-equipped models omit the decorative crystal bezels. Those variants typically cost between £110 and £120, making the latest additions slightly more expensive. The company also recently expanded its smaller Cavatina Mini lineup with leather-strap options.

As for availability, the silver-tone TW2Y90000 is priced at £135 in the UK, while the gold-tone TW2Y90100 and two-tone TW2Y90200 cost £145 each. The watches have also appeared on Timex’s official US website, where the TW2Y90000 costs $159, while the TW2Y90100 and TW2Y90200 are priced at $179 each.
