The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (available on Amazon for $ 38) came out in 2015 and was widely hailed as one of the best, if not the best, game of the year. Almost 10 years later, however, the game developed in REDengine 3 is no longer a feast for the eyes. Thanks to the well-known modder Halk Hogan, however, this is likely to change soon.
Halk Hogan is not an unknown name in The Witcher community, as the modder has already released a HD mod for the game. However, this was last updated in September 2022. The reason: after a break, the mod developer is already working on the next The Witcher 3 modification, which will completely overshadow the previously released HD mod.
In a YouTube video, Halk Hogan announced the "The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project NextGen Edition". The video demonstrates the texture differences using walls, floors, wooden walls and roofs:

Release expected in fall
An exact release date for the mod is not yet known. However, fans will probably not have to wait much longer. As the modder writes under his video, he expects a release in the fall:
"Hello my friends!
I'm back after a short break. I'm happy to show you what I've been working on lately: true next-gen high-quality textures using the new mapping technique implemented in the Nextgen version of the game. Thanks to this, many textures in HDRP NextGen Edition will be much more realistic, and the examples shown in the video are only a part of all of them. [...] As for the release date, I can't give any details yet, because there's a huge amount of work to do, but expect a release this fall."
