Suunto Race 3S trail running smartwatch arrives with 2,000-nit AMOLED, sapphire glass, and free topo maps

The Suunto Race 3S has arrived as an upgrade to the 2023 Suunto Race smartwatch (sold here on Amazon) for trail running enthusiasts looking for a durable, multi-day smartwatch. A 45 mm (1.77 in.) titanium bezel and sapphire glass help protect its brighter 2000-nit, 1.32-inch (33.5 mm) AMOLED display with a resolution of 466 x 466 pixels. The watch is powered by a silicon-carbon anode lithium-ion battery, with up to 38 hours of rated runtime when using dual-band GPS navigation or up to 12 days in normal timekeeping mode.

A faster Apollo 510 processor is coupled with 64 GB of storage for offline music, race data, and maps. The Race 3S comes with access to free worldwide topographical maps, freeing owners from the additional cost and hassle of locating and loading maps for their runs. This is similar to Garmin smartwatches like the Fenix 9 Pro (sold here on Amazon), which also offer free offline global maps.
The smartwatch comes with over a hundred sports modes, with interval training and adaptive guidance thanks to the Suunto Coach AI. The watch can help plan runs with consideration of the route, weather, and target pace in mind, with alerts during runs for upcoming slopes.

It also has continuous, all-day activity, sleep, and stress tracking with heart monitoring thanks to an upgraded array of six LEDs and four photodetectors. An optional Suunto heart rate chest strap can also be paired and used for greater accuracy when measuring heart rate. Watch features and settings are controlled using the touchscreen, crown, and two side buttons.
The dual-band GPS smartwatch weighs just 37 g (1.30 oz.) and is 11 mm (0.43 in.) thick. The case is rated to 5 ATM for water resistance and is secured to the wrist with a 22 mm (0.87 in.) silicone strap, which comes in single and dual-color options.
The Suunto Race 3S smartwatch has an MSRP of $499 and is available from the company website and the Suunto store on Amazon in Titanium Orchid, Titanium Feather, and Titanium Black, starting October 15, 2026, in China and EMEA, and October 29, 2026, in North America and APAC.
