Surprise: First signs of a global Vivo X500 Ultra with new 35mm Zeiss main camera discovered

There will most likely be no Xiaomi 18 Ultra in 2027, but Vivo and Oppo apparently want to give it another shot despite ever-rising memory prices. Both the Oppo Find X10 Ultra and the Vivo X500 Ultra are expected to launch in March and April, respectively, at least in China. But the first concrete signs of an international launch have now emerged for at least the Zeiss-equipped contender, as Erencan Yılmaz reports via OVR+.
Contrary to rumors suggesting otherwise a few months ago, Vivo once again appears to be planning to launch a global successor to the Vivo X300 Ultra in some regions outside China. While this has not yet been officially confirmed, the first concrete references to the Vivo X500 Ultra have now appeared in the GSMA's IMEI database under model number V2660. This is reportedly the global variant, which could launch in Europe, for example. A model intended for the Latin American market, including Brazil, is said to be launching under model number J2613 and Vivo's Jovi brand.
New 35mm main camera, according to leak
Digital Chat Station has also commented on the Vivo X500 Ultra again in the past few hours. This time hinting at the main camera, which is once again said to offer a 35mm equivalent focal length. According to the Weibo post, Vivo is currently testing an X500 Ultra based on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 with a Sony LYT910 sensor, presumably referring to the 1/1.28-inch L910 also found in the Vivo X500 Pro Max, where it delivers greater dynamic range thanks to LOFIC technology. This would make it a smaller sensor than the one in the Vivo X300 Ultra (available here on Amazon Germany), although the telephoto sensor is reportedly set to grow from 1/1.4 inches to an impressive 1/1.12 inches in return, as was recently revealed. None of these specifications have been finally confirmed yet, and Vivo could still opt for different hardware before mass production next year.
