Steam expands its free games library with several well-rated new releases

The Steam free game library has once again been expanded, and in this round, there are quite a number of games that seem worth playing. Many of them already have good player ratings as well.

Steam has expanded its free game library once again, and like always, not every new entry seems worth playing. However, there are a handful of games that have already received good player ratings.

These well-rated free games fall in different categories, meaning that this round has something for everyone. Here's more about some of the newly spotted freebies that have decent ratings:

  • Nudge - released on August 19, this is an indie organization-sim with a cozy setting. It currently holds a 97% positive rating that's based on 72 reviews.
  • Incident Archives - Flight 882 - inspired by true events, this psychological horror launched as a free game on August 19, and it boasts an 81% positive rating.
  • BattleTabs - a casual board game with turn-based combat and online PvP. It was released on August 11, and so far, the free game has received around 30 reviews, of which 92% are positive.
  • Dot Clicker - an immersive action game with a focus on aim training. It became available on Steam as a free game on August 14, and currently, it holds a 90% positive rating.
  • Tung - a first-person horror game that puts players in a maze. It was released on August 12, and it now holds over 1,400 player ratings with 89% of them being positive.
  • A Hole In My Room - an indie title with puzzles, hidden objects, and a psychological horror setting. This free game was released on August 12, and it currently has over 30 reviews with an 87% positive rating.
  • Blue Sign - a text-based game that puts players in the shoes of a marine insurance underwriter. It has around 100 reviews, of which 95% are positive.
  • Sands of Skullcreek - featuring retro-inspired visuals, this first-person shooter has a short yet action-filled story. It holds a 97% positive rating that's based on around 50 reviews.
  • Disturbing Fears - Workplace - an episodic psychological horror set in an immersive environment. This free game was released on August 4, and currently, it has over 150 reviews, of which 91% are positive.
