Specialized launches new premium full suspension e-bike with a $13k price tag

Specialized, an American electric bike manufacturer, is on the verge of launching yet another suspension e-MTB. To recall, the brand unveiled the Vado 3 X 6.0 and the Levo 4 X in May and June 2026, respectively. Now, Specialized has launched its new premium electric mountain bike, the S-Works Turbo Levo R Ultralight. 

As the name suggests, the eMTB comes with a lightweight design, weighing just 41 lbs (18 kg). This makes it one of the lightest full-suspension electric mountain bikes in the brand’s lineup. It features a new FACT 11 carbon frame, which is paired with Specialized’s GENIE suspension technology, adjustable geometry, and front and rear suspensions with 140 mm and 130 mm of travel, respectively. 

Despite boasting a lightweight frame, Specialized has packed its latest full-power drive system into the S-Works Turbo Levo R Ultralight. It’s powered by the S-Works 3.1 motor, delivering 111 Nm of torque and 850 W of peak power. Riders can choose from either a 600 Wh or 840 Wh battery pack, which is further said to offer up to 4.4 hours of ride time. Plus, the company also offers an optional 280 Wh range extender, which is helpful during long rides. However, the ride time is entirely dependent on the terrain and the level of assistance used. 

This is the same motor found in the Levo 4 X. Other features include companion app support, Apple Find My compatibility, a 2.2-inch Mastermind display, and a 12-amp smart charge with multiple charging modes, such as fast charging and an 80% battery preservation option. Speaking of price, the Specialized S-Works Turbo Levo R Ultralight is priced at $12,999.99. In contrast, the Levo 4 X is $1000 cheaper than the Levo R Ultralight. Available in a single satin carbon colorway, interested buyers can purchase the eMTB directly from Specialized’s official website.
