The Dell XPS 13 9315 is the company's thinnest and lightest 13-inch laptop from 2022. Given the form factor and a focus on portability, Dell couldn't really pack powerful specs into it. The top-end variant came with Intel Core i7 1250U, which has 8 efficient cores and 2 performance cores.
That Alder Lake processor can't definitely outshine the Core Ultra 7 155H found in the recently launched XPS 13 9340, but it is still capable of handling productivity workloads. The good part is that the laptop is currently on sale, coming down from $1,099 to $799 on the official website.
We didn't check out the exact configuration of the Dell XPS 13 9315. Our review unit came with an Intel Core i5 1230U. But besides the CPU, all the other aspects are pretty much the same as the one that's currently enjoying the hefty $300 discount.
In our review, we praised it for being very portable. We also found that the XPS 13 9315 comes with a sleek yet robust build, which isn't something that you can say for most of the thin and light laptops. Considering that it packs an efficiency-focused processor, you get great battery life, and our review unit didn't get too loud during the stress tests.
We liked the display of this lightweight laptop too. It's a 13.4-inch IPS panel with good brightness for comfortable outdoor viewing. Another good aspect of the Dell XPS 13 9315 is the speaker setup. In our review, we noted that it could hold up to the speakers found in large-sized gaming laptops.
However, do note that the laptop comes with only two ports, but thankfully, they are Thunderbolt 4 ports, and Dell includes two adapters in the box. Also, the 720p webcam is average, but it can get the job done with proper lighting around. You can learn more about the XPS 13 9315 from the video attached below.
