The Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra's camera bump will grow even larger, according to a leaker's latest comments.
Leaks about Samsung's next Galaxy camera flagships are becoming increasingly detailed. A usually very reliable leaker has now shared new specs that once again point to two major upgrades for the Galaxy S26 Ultra's successor, even if the latest measurements sound rather unremarkable at first glance.

Things are moving in the right direction. For some, at least. Others will probably be annoyed by the Samsung Galaxy S27 Ultra's camera bump, which Ice Universe says will grow even larger. Still, this certainly points to a more capable camera, so it is not a bad thing from a feature standpoint. Samsung is moving in the opposite direction with its display bezels, although these are still a long way from those of Chinese flagship smartphones, as a recent leak suggests.

The usually very reliable leaker Ice Universe today revealed two details about Samsung's next camera flagship. However, he suggests that Samsung will only depart from the current dimensions by fractions of a millimeter. According to the leak, the display bezels will shrink to 1.28mm, which is 0.4 mm less than on the Galaxy S26 Ultra and will therefore be barely noticeable to the naked eye. Meanwhile, current flagship smartphones from China are gradually breaking the 1mm barrier. The Xiaomi 18 Pro Max and the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max, for example, were advertised with display bezels measuring 0.99mm and 1mm, respectively. Therefore, the new AMOLED material expected in the Galaxy S27 Ultra will likely be more exciting than the thinner bezels.

The camera bump is heading in the opposite direction. It continues to grow, and a little more than previously expected. For instance, earlier information from @OnLeaks, based on leaked CAD models, pointed to a 7.97mm chassis with a 4.56 mm camera bump, for a total of 12.53mm. By contrast, the latest information from Ice Universe points to a 4.69mm bump for the rear camera module, making it around 0.1 mm thicker. As we know from earlier leaks, Samsung will use a new ISOCELL HP6 sensor for its main camera. Although it still measures 1/1.28 inches, it may be thicker than the ISOCELL HP2. A larger battery is also expected in the 2027 Galaxy flagship.
