Deal | Ryzen 7-powered mini PC with flashy retro design gets Amazon Prime Day deal
The Acemagic X3 is a mini PC with a retro aesthetic designed to fit seamlessly into a home theatre setup as a media and family gaming PC or on a desk as a mini productivity and workstation PC. It packs an 8-core, 16-thread AMD Ryzen 7 H 255 CPU, 12-CU Radeon GPU, plenty of ports, and solid 2.5 GbE connectivity into a compact chassis.
Until October 11, the Acemagic X3 is discounted to $575 for Amazon Prime, but with code "JZLM55AT" you can get an additional 5% off, bringing the final price down to $546.
Compact retro design with modern internals
The Acemagic X3 mini PC features a retro aesthetic inspired by the Nintendo NES consoles of old, but it is powered by a modern AMD Ryzen 7 H 255 CPU, which has eight Zen 4 cores and 16 threads, clocking to a peak of 4.9 GHz. Acemagic also says that the CPU is capable of a full 54 W TDP. Combine that with 16 GB of LPDDR5-6400 memory and 1 TB of PCIe Gen 4.0 storage—with an extra vacant M.2 slot for additional storage expansion, and the X3 makes a solid case for itself as both a travel-friendly general-purpose desktop and a HTPC that's more than capable enough to handle some gaming, thanks to that Radeon 780M iGPU.
If the 12-CU RDNA 3 iGPU falls short of your gaming requirements, there is also always the option of adding on an eGPU with the front-mounted USB4 port. The rest of the I/O is also nothing to scoff at, featuring fast networking and plenty of ports:
Acemagic X3 I/O:
- USB4 Type-C port
- 2× USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A (front)
- 4× USB 3.2 Gen1 Type-A (rear)
- 1× DP 2.0
- 1× HDMI 2.1
- 1× DC-in
- 1× 2.5 GbE RJ45
With all the available display outputs on the X3, you could theoretically connect up to three external displays for gaming, work, or media consumption.
