Razer brings ANC and RGB lighting to wired USB-C gaming earbuds

Razer has introduced the Hammerhead V3 Chroma, a new pair of wired gaming earbuds designed for smartphones, handheld consoles and PCs. Unlike conventional wired earphones, the new model combines active noise cancellation with customizable RGB lighting, because even earphones need their own light show.
The Hammerhead V3 Chroma features a dual-driver configuration consisting of an 11mm dynamic driver for lower frequencies and a dedicated 6mm tweeter for higher frequencies. Feed-forward active noise cancellation is included to reduce environmental noise during gaming or everyday listening. One practical addition is the 90-degree USB-C connector, designed to sit closer to the edge of compatible handheld devices. This should make the cable less intrusive when holding a smartphone horizontally or using a portable gaming console.
An integrated controller provides volume adjustment, playback controls and ANC switching, while an omnidirectional microphone handles voice communication.
Razer has also included IPX4 splash resistance and four sound presets covering gaming, music, movies and calls, alongside a customizable equalizer profile. PC users can access THX 7.1 surround sound through Razer Synapse 4.
The illuminated earbud housings support Razer Chroma RGB with 16.8 million selectable colors. The wired connection also avoids Bluetooth audio compression and the need for an earbud battery, although the connected device still supplies power.
The Hammerhead V3 Chroma is available internationally for $79.99 in the US, £79.99 in the UK and €89.99 in Europe. Japanese availability is scheduled for December at ¥14,280.
