Over five months have elapsed since ASUS showcased the PG27AQDP, one of many ROG Swift OLED-branded gaming monitors the company exhibited during CES 2024 in Las Vegas. Since then, the company has released many of the ROG Swift OLED monitors that it showcased in January, such as the ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM. However, that is not the case with the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP.
Unfortunately, ASUS is still not ready to launch the monitor yet, which directly succeeds the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM (curr. $896.86 on Amazon). Nonetheless, it has now provided more details about the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP, which it revealed during Computex 2024 in Taipei. In short, it appears that the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM relies on the same panel that LG Display presented last month at SID Display Week 2024 in San Jose, California.
Consequently, ASUS mentions the monitor's usage of LG's 'latest Micro Lens Array (MLA) technology', which officially provides 20% wider viewing angles and 30% higher peak brightness than previous ROG OLED monitors like the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDM. Additionally, the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP combines its native 1440p resolution with a 480 Hz refresh rate, 0.03 ms GtG response times and 99% DCI-P3 colour space coverage. Currently, ASUS hopes to release the ROG Swift OLED PG27AQDP in the second half of this year. While pricing remains unknown for now, Cooler Master already confirmed to TFTCentral that the comparably-equipped GZ2713 will be available in the same time period for $1,099.
