Philips' new earbuds have a display on the charging case and a colorful design

Philips has a new pair of wireless earbuds, and they have an interesting feature, albeit one that we've seen before. The new earbuds are simply called The Buds, and they are part of the Moving Sound collection of products it plans to launch next quarter.
The Buds have a closed-ear design with silicone ear tips to keep the sound in and the noise out. Philips has also gone for a design without protruding stems, unlike the new Galaxy Buds 4 Pro. Available in a bright yellow reminiscent of the 80s, along with neon pink and mint colored silicone ear tips, The Buds come in a round charging case.
The charging case features a touchscreen at the top that displays media playback information. Users will also be able to control playback using the display. However, the Philips Headphones app should provide a lot more settings.
In terms of technical features, The Buds have hybrid active noise cancellation and six microphones including three AI mics for crystal clear calls. Rated IP54 for dust and water resistance, The Buds have a total battery life of 42 hours (ANC off) with the charging case.
What HI-Fi says they will cost €80 (~$93) when they launch. This is significantly cheaper than the JBL Tour Pro 3 (currently available on Amazon for $229.95), which is another pair of earbuds with a display on the charging case.
