Philips launches new Evnia gaming monitor with 1000Hz refresh rate display

Philips has launched the Evnia 25M4P5200T in China, and it stands as a direct competitor to the LG UltraGear 25G590B. The gaming monitor was first introduced in May 2026 as one of the first gaming monitors with a native 10000Hz refresh rate.
Back then, Philips shared a lot about the display that the gaming monitor boasts, but didn't reveal when it would be available to purchase. The panel is from BOE, and it can offer a 1000Hz refresh rate at the 1080p resolution. Its rated GtG response rate is said to be 0.2ms, while the MPRT is marketed at 0.1ms. Such a configuration makes the gaming monitor ideal for competitive gaming.
At the initial showcase, Philips also revealed that the high-refresh-rate IPS panel has 99% sRGB and 95% DCI-P3 color coverage, meaning the monitor can be used for professional creative workloads as well. There's VESA DisplayHDR 400 certification, and the HDR brightness rating stands at 450 nits.
The Evnia 25M4P5200T, however, is on the smaller end, as it comes with a 24.5-inch display. On the bright side, the bezels seem relatively thin in the promo images, so getting a proper multi-monitor setup with a couple of these monitors shouldn't be an issue.
As for the port selection, the gaming monitor has one DisplayPort 2.1 and two HDMI 2.1 ports. Other highlights include FreeSync Premium, G-Sync, and a sleek overall design. In China, the Evnia 25M4P5200T launched with a price tag of CNY 7,999, around $1,193. Philips is expected to launch this 10000Hz gaming monitor globally soon, but for those interested, the competing LG UltraGear 25G590B is already available outside China.
