It's time to mark the New Year with a new sale, and PVY might have something for those in the market for a new vehicle that looks like many other typical step-over bikes with 27 x 2.1-inch tires, but also packs a "high-quality" 48V/16.5Ah battery in its "upgraded" 6061 aluminum frame to propel it over up to 62 miles of "diverse landscapes" per charge.
The Power comes with a motor capped at an output of 250W by default, although PVY claims that it can be unlocked to 1,000W in order to increase its max speed from 25 kilometers per hour (km/h, or ~15 miles per hour (mph)) to 38km/h (~24mph) - although the ability to do that might be subject to national or regional jurisdiction.
The bike has hydraulic brakes, a 1,200-lumen headlight, an IP66-rated color display and 7-speed Shimano gears, but only has front-fork suspension for comfort while riding. It normally costs €1,999 on pvy.com, but is reduced to €1,299 during the sale.
Those interested in e-bikes with fatter tires and more suspension could also consider the Z20 Plus (with the same up to 100 newton-meter (Nm) torque sensor) or Turbo, which start at €1,099 (or €230 off) and €899 (-€300 its RRP) from now until January 31, 2025.
Meanwhile, the Engwe Engine Pro 2.0 goes for €1,449 on Amazon in Europe.
