The Ace 3 Pro joins the Pad Pro as one of two new devices that OnePlus has revealed today. While the Ace 3 Pro looks like the OnePlus 12 and has a matching Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, it undercuts its flagship counterpart on price even though it contains a circ 13% larger battery capacity.

OnePlus has now released a new Ace Pro smartphone in China, which was joined by the company's Pad Pro tablet and refreshed Watch 2 smartwatch. For reference, the Ace 3 Pro has arrived after a few weeks of teasers and leaks. Although the Ace 3 Pro was expected to feature OnePlus' new Rain Touch 2.0 functionality, we cannot find any mention of it in its marketing materials.

Nonetheless, has certified the Ace 3 Pro to IP65 levels of dust and water protection, just like the OnePlus 12 (curr. $799.99 on Amazon). The comparisons between the Ace 3 Pro and OnePlus 12 do not end there, either. For example, both contain Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, as well as up to 1 TB of UFS 4.0 flash storage and 24 GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Moreover, the Ace 3 Pro also has a 4,500-nit AMOLED display. However, this panel is 0.4-inches smaller than the equivalent inside the OnePlus 12 at 6.78-inches.

On top of that, the Ace 3 Pro's display outputs at a lesser 2,780 x 1,264-pixel resolution, which results in a 450 PPI. Still, the display supports variable refresh rates up to 120 Hz and is compatible with both Dolby Vision and HDR10+ content. Furthermore, OnePlus has equipped the Ace 3 Pro with a 6,100 mAh battery, 13% larger than the 5,400 mAh combined capacity inside the OnePlus 12.

The Ace 3 Pro supports 100 W wired charging too, which should result in 36-minute charge times from 0-100%. OnePlus has made a few savings when it comes to camera hardware though, including the usage of a 1/1.56-inch and 50 MP primary camera, plus 16 MP front-facing, 8 MP ultra-wide-angle and 2 MP macro cameras. The  Ace 3 Pro starts at CNY 3,199 (~$440) in China with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage but rises to CNY 4,399 (~$605) for its 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage variant. Please note that OnePlus has not commented on international availability yet.
