The next generation of Xiaomi's style-forward line of AMOLED smartwatches has been spotted ahead of its launch, in a leak that purports to reveal its name and model number. The allegedly upcoming Watch is now thought to succeed one with an innovative interchangeable bezel system to go with its up-to-date health tracking and respectable battery life.
Xiaomi's S-series wearables often tend to land as the most style-conscious version of the Watch for a given year, to the extent that the 2023 iteration even had an innovative swappable magnetic bezel so as to allow its case to match its strap at all times.
Now, it seems the line will be back soon with the Xiaomi "Watch S4", a wearable allegedly detected by this name on an IMEI database. Its discovery invites speculation that it and the next-gen Xiaomi Watch spotted in earlier leaks are one and the same, as the S3 also has an eSIM variant (although it is not often the one sold outside China).
On the other hand, according to the new leak, the S4's model number is M2424W1, which does not match that from a previous tip. In addition, that alleged next-gen Xiaomi Watch did not have a very modular-looking design in that report.

I became a professional writer and editor shortly after graduation. My degrees are in biomedical sciences; however, they led to some experience in the biotech area, which convinced me of its potential to revolutionize our health, environment and lives in general. This developed into an all-consuming interest in more aspects of tech over time: I can never write enough on the latest electronics, gadgets and innovations. My other interests include imaging, astronomy, and streaming all the things. Oh, and coffee.
