New affordable headphones launch with a built-in 8MP camera

Rollme has launched the AuraCam, a pair of over-ear wireless headphones that can shoot photos and video, translate conversations in real time, and record meetings. The company describes the AuraCam as its first AI headphones.
Its 8MP camera uses electronic image stabilization (EIS) to reduce blur in photos and video taken on the move. The headphones connect over Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 6, and captured photos and clips sync to Rollme’s companion app with a single tap. Rollme says the AuraCam’s recognition and real-time translation features are powered by OpenAI, with translation pitched at travelers and conversations across languages. Recording a meeting takes three taps.
For audio, the AuraCam uses a 40mm microcrystalline metal diaphragm, which the company says produces detailed highs and keeps distortion low at high volume. Rollme also lists low-latency performance to keep game audio in sync with on-screen action. The headphones use leather padding that sits around the ears, which Rollme says keeps pressure off during long listening sessions. The company rates the battery for all-day use and says the AuraCam supports fast charging.
The AuraCam follows the AirCam, an open-ear bone conduction headset with an 8MP camera that Rollme launched in July at $79.99. That model records 1080p video at 30fps, stores clips on 8GB of internal storage and is rated for 10 hours of playback.
The AuraCam is available now in Black and Beige from Rollme’s online store, where it is listed at $89.99 as part of an 11.11 shopping festival promotion.
